Current and temperature-rise effect of contact condition for connection terminals in UHVDC converter stations

The heating phenomenon of connector terminals in converter stations has become increasingly common, it a serious safety hazared affecting the operation UHV lines. This paper determined overlapping model Al plate-Al plate based on stations, conducted tests which included disassembly and assembly contact surface roughness impact test, pressing force electric composite grease anti-loosening measure test. Analyzed main influencing factors current temperature-rise for heating, analyzed influence rule each factor terminals. Test shows that: bolt tightening torque was terminals, moment first factor, looseness performance degradation directly causes an increase resistance temperature rise level
